On Friday 1st May we had Amy Chan, 2018 Women in STEM award recipient, visit our Year 9 Science classes and Year 12 Biology to discuss what it is she is studying for her PhD. It gave students the opportunity to learn about the immune system and inflammatory response. Our students were also able to ask questions about what studying Science is all about after school. Thank you Amy for the visit!
Kind regards

Recently Amy Chan visited Tully SHS to talk to students about Phd project on immunology.
She presented to the year 11 and 12 biology and chemistry students with students able to ask questions about various aspects of the human immune system. The students found the information enlightening and were fascinated by her field of research.
She visited the school as part of the Young Science Ambassador, supported by the BLA Cairns and Wonder of Science through the University of Queensland.
Cheers,
