On Friday 14 October 2016, the annual Breakfast with the Law was held. Proudly sponsored by Marino Lawyers, this event brought senior secondary school students into contact with young, dynamic legal practitioner Florence Chen.
Florence, a graduate of the University of Queensland, studied a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce (Accounting). Prior to being called to the Bar in 2014, she was appointed as an associate to the Hon. Justice Fryberg for two years and the Hon. Justice Jackson for one year. Another guest speaker was Professor Anthony Gray who fired the morning up with a discussion on the legal and social ramifications of gay marriage.
The event took place at Rydges Tradewinds on the Esplanade. Around 150 students and teachers attended.
