The 2022 Cairns Youth & Careers Expo held at the Fred Moule Pavilion at the Cairns Showgrounds saw almost 4000 students through the doors on the day. Our biggest expo yet, it was a full house with interstate exhibitors returning to FNQ. Universities and college accommodation options as well as the defence force and emergency services career options were all represented. Mining, electrical, trades, child care and film and TV career options were all exhibiting this year with students able to visit over 100 organisations in the one spot. The Expo continues to grow each year with exhibitors set up both inside and outside the Fred Moule Pavilion offering students the largest possible choice of career options.
The Expo was officially opened the evening before by Michael Healy MP, Member for Cairns at a cocktail party for exhibitors, principals and career advisors held on site.

"I enjoyed speaking with university representatives and learning about career paths available to me after school. I especially appreciated the opportunity to explore career options that I hadn't previously been exposed to.”

“I was thrilled to have the opportunity to go to the Cairns Career Expo, I was able to learn so much about the university experience, what pathways I can peruse and how to achieve it. They had so many options such as art/film pathways. Overall it was a great trip”
