The Cairns Manufacturing Hub, in conjunction with TAFE Cairns Campus held an Industry Breakfast on Tuesday 16th March. BLA staff attended the event and will be working closely with both the Cairns Manufacturing Hub and TAFE Queensland in 2021.
The Event showcased the collaboration between the Cairns Manufacturing Hub and TAFE, and guests heard about what support is available to the Manufacturers in the areas of Marine, Aviation, Engineering, Manufacturing, Food/Ag and their supply chains.
Guests toured the maker Space facilities and watched a demonstration of the HoloLens and VR Systems as well as Augmented Reality Welder Fusion Training.
The Cairns Manufacturing Hub staff discussed what’s on offer in the areas of business development programs, skills development and training and awareness of advanced manufacturing.
TAFE Business Development Officers discussed what was on offer that relates specifically to Marine, Aviation, Engineering, Manufacturing and Food/Ag. Staff from the TAFE Great Barrier Reef International Marine College were also on hand to answer any questions around the delivery of high-quality maritime education and training for local, national and international clients. Their facilities are the most modern training resources available and their qualified team of industry professionals have many years of maritime experience in their fields.
Congratulations to the The Cairns Manufacturing Hub Team – Andrew Hayes, Sandra Scarcella and Mel Burow as well as TAFE Queensland staff for a wonderful event.
