Give them the chance to experience an immersive day of STEM with JCU’s 2026 Heroes in Engineering program.
This free hands-on experience is designed for high school students ready to explore the exciting world of engineering and STEM through real-world challenges, creative problem-solving, and inspiring mentorship from JCU lecturers, industry professionals, and current students.
From building sustainable cities to designing smart technology and tackling global challenges, students will discover how engineering can shape their future — and how JCU can help them get there.

Please note: This is a free student program, with all costs covered by James Cook University, including a polo shirt, merchandise, a goodie bag, lunch, and snacks.
