Each year, the Business Liaison Association extends an invitation to various industry experts who travel to Cairns to speak with students from schools throughout the region (Cairns, Tablelands, and Cassowary Coast).
Inspirational speakers from a wide range of professions, such as law, authors, architecture, engineers, scientists, and STEM. BLA also engages with young and upcoming entrepreneurs excelling in their chosen field to motivate students on their potential. The guest presenters targeted are generally nationally acclaimed, e.g., National Young Engineer of the Year or Young Engineer of the Year.
These high-profile people act as role models and inspire our students to strive and achieve.
AIM
To expose students in rural and regional areas to high-profile guest speakers and presenters who can enhance skills and learning that would otherwise be difficult for them to access (due to location).
