Sponsors and Supporters Christmas Celebration
Each year, the Business Liaison Association hosts its Sponsors and Supporters Christmas Celebration to thank the businesses, organisations and community partners whose generosity makes the BLA’s programs and events possible.
The event brings together sponsors, supporters, committee members and friends of the Association to reflect on the year’s achievements, strengthen professional relationships and celebrate the shared commitment to creating opportunities for young people across Far North Queensland.
The Christmas Celebration is also an opportunity for the BLA to recognise the important contribution of those who provide financial support, industry expertise, mentoring, judging, event assistance and career opportunities throughout the year. Their involvement enables the Association to continue connecting students with education, training and employment pathways.
Community giving is an important part of the event. Guests and local organisations are invited to contribute raffle prizes, with proceeds donated to a selected community organisation that supports young people and families.
In 2025, raffle proceeds were donated to Fresh Start Academy, an organisation dedicated to empowering young people through vocational education and training.

A New Community Giving Initiative
Traditionally, the BLA has thanked sponsors and supporters with a Christmas gift. In 2025, the Association introduced a new initiative designed to extend this appreciation to families in the wider community.
Instead of purchasing individual gifts, the BLA donated to Hambledon House in support of its Free Toy Shop. This initiative helps ensure that families experiencing financial hardship can access Christmas gifts for their children in a welcoming and dignified environment.
The BLA is grateful to its sponsors and supporters for sharing its commitment to community, connection and dignity. Through their continued partnership, the impact of the Association’s work reaches beyond individual events and contributes to stronger opportunities and outcomes for young people and families throughout the region.
