Gifted and Talented Programs
The very first FNQ Schools' Startup Summit is being run from October 5 - 7 2016 and the organisers, Emerging Entrepreneurs would love to see all schools represented.
Students will form teams to participate in a friendly competition among schools where they will learn to:
- Build a commercially viable business from nothing to reality using a step-by-step process in three days;
- Work with real-world customers to turn everyday problems into commercially viable businesses;
- Rapidly prototype their business creations using 3D printers, simple coding tools and prototyping software;
- Learn to perfect their pitch and present their findings, wins and losses from the three day event to the panel of judges;
- Solve problems, work in teams, communicate with customers and lead their teams to success;
- Participate in talks and presentations from local business leaders and professionals.
Schools will be competing for:
- Winner of the FNQ Schools' Startup Summit 2016
- Female STEM champions
- Creativity masters
- Hi-tech heroes
- Validation victors
