Our Pacifica Chartered Accountants Mock Court Competition Sponsors

Hosted by the Business Liaison Association (BLA) in partnership with local schools and community stakeholders in Cairns, North Queensland. 

The Business Liaison Association extends its sincere appreciation to Pacifica Chartered Accountants for their valued sponsorship of the Our Pacifica Chartered Accountants Mock Court Competition.

Through their ongoing support, we continue to strengthen pathways between education, training, and employment, empowering the next generation of students and future professionals across Far North Queensland.

 

Overview

The Pacifica Chartered Accountants Mock Court Competition recognises the excellence of Year 10, 11 and 12 students across the Far North Queensland region who are interested in pursuing a career in law and justice.

The competition provides students with a practical, skills-based experience in courtroom procedures, advocacy, and legal reasoning. It aims to support and showcase students with strong analytical ability, communication skills, and an interest in tertiary pathways in law.

 

Eligibility Criteria

• Schools may nominate Year 10–12 students demonstrating excellence in their ATAR subjects.
• Each school may nominate up to two teams.
• Due to capacity and court availability, schools may be allocated one team only.
• Teams must consist of students in Years 10, 11 and 12.
• All students must be enrolled in a participating secondary school within the region.

 

Important Dates

• Application Due Date: Friday, 26 June 2026 (Term 2, Week 10)
• Case Materials Distributed: Friday, 29 May (Term 2, Week 6)
• Information Session: Thursday, 11 June 2026 (Term 2, Week 8).

• Competition Date: Wednesday, 11 June 2026 (Term 3, Week 3)

                                Time: Pre-event Briefing: 5:30 pm

                                          Event: 6 pm – 7 pm

                           Location: Cairns Court House

Prize & Bursaries

Winning Team                          $120 (per team member)

Runner Up Team                      $100 (per team member)

Team Encouragement Award   $80 (per team member)

Please note: Final prize amounts may vary from those listed above, depending on sponsorship contributions and the number of applicants.
