2025 Cairns Maritime Jobs and Careers Expo

On Saturday, 8th November 2025, the BLA, in conjunction with Marine Futures and Norsta Marine, hosted the 2025 Cairns Maritime Jobs and Careers Expo.

The event brought together innovators, professionals, defence, students, parents, and the Cairns community who are interested in shaping the future of the maritime industry.

2025 DATTA Awards Night

On October 23rd, 2025, BLA hosted our annual DATTA Awards presentation evening at the
Pullman International Hotel.

With 80 different awards, many very talented students received cash prizes for their
design and technological efforts.

A huge thank you to all sponsors who supported and continue to support these awards and
the numerous students.

2025 Aspire Awards Night

On November 23rd, 2025, BLA hosted our annual Aspire Awards presentation evening at the
Pullman International Hotel.

With 188 different awards, many very talented students received cash prizes for their academic efforts.

Sponsors Christmas Cocktails

Business Liaison Association hosted our annual Sponsors and Supporters Christmas Party, bringing together partners and friends to celebrate the year that was. Thank you to everyone who joined us — your support helps make our work possible.

We are also grateful to all the local community members who graciously donated prizes for our raffle, from which all proceeds were donated to Fresh Start Academy—a company dedicated to empowering young people through vocational training.

Each Year, BLA would say thank you to our sponsors and supporters with a gift — but this year, we wanted to celebrate in a way that reaches further. Instead of gifts, BLA donated to Hambledon House to support their Free Toy Shop, helping low-income families have access to gifts for their children.
