Thanks, Angela for coordinating and please once again pass on our thanks to BDO for offering this opportunity for students. The students found it a great experience. It was wonderful the way BDO had their staff provide an overview of the range of different areas of work in an Accountants office - they don't often believe or register that it is not just Tax! The office tour did scare them a little (so much paperwork sitting around .... and the sitting around aspect too) but having the tour conducted by a recent graduate for our group was great. The students found being able to speak to her about Uni, applying for jobs and starting work in an office really very valuable - so this small group opportunity was really valuable. Also, the fact that it was reinforced that recruitment can start early in studies and / or at the start of the last year of study for jobs at the completion of studies.
