"Deanna spoke to 49 students from Year 7, 8, 9 and 11 who were selected by their Science teachers for the interest and ability in STEM subjects. She was a highly enthusiastic and engaging presenter and spoke about her truly amazing career path. What was a really interesting part of her presentation was she spent some time talking about motivation, fears and support networks that can help and hinder getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things and used her personal story to highlight how these factors have a big impact of life choices."

Deanna made a point of not speaking at the students, but taking them along her journey of starting uni at 15 and facing all the normal teen fears, alongside how she overcame them and what continues to drive her. Despite her clear giftedness, she was relatable, humorous, compassionate and empathetic, demonstrating the 21st century skills we are teaching our students."
