Business Plan Competition

The Business Liaison Association, Business Educators Association of Queensland, the Cairns Business Community and the Department of State Development have coordinated this competition over the past eight years for any interested students, particularly in Years 8 -12. Students from all subjects have participated, not just those who study Business Education subjects. The competition has been an outstanding success and is again running in 2010.

 

We will offer a Marketing Plan competition for students in years 8, 9 and 10 and a Business Plan Competition for students in years 11 and 12.

The competition will run from the beginning of Term 3 through to the end of August. Interested students from the Peninsula Schools would form groups of 4-10 and meet once a week or as often as they choose, in lunch hours, or their own time. It is anticipated that all necessary research, planning and writing would be done in the students’ own time. We recommend that the Business Plan be included as part of the assessment program for students.
